I think most of you know by now. The Professor, is a blatant Doctor Who spoof.
But what you might not know is that they aren't just spoofing one doctor but a good handful of them.
Long striped scarf -- clearly Tom Baker's (the fourth doctor)
Tennis shoes -- could refer to David Tennant (ten) or Peter Davison (five) as the both wore tennis shoes
Bow tie -- while plenty of Doctors have worn the tie, it's safe to say Matt Smith (eleven) made it an icon

I thought to myself: "Cool. They picked some icons, slapped them on a dog, and called it good. Groovy."
But then I was passing by this morning and saw this.
A leaf!
And you know what that means.
It means celery.
Snack anyone?
Peri : "Doctor, why do you wear a stick of celery in your lapel?"
The Doctor : "Does it offend you?"
Peri : "No, just curious."
The Doctor : "Safety precaution. I'm allergic to certain gases in the praxis range of the spectrum."
Peri : "Well how does the celery help?"
The Doctor : "If the gas is present, the celery turns purple."
Peri : "And then what do you do?"
The Doctor : "I eat the celery. If nothing else I'm sure it's good for my teeth."
-- "The Caves of Androzani"

Peter Davison (the fifth doctor) my personal favorite classic doctor has been payed homage to.
I am happy.

  1. The jacket is a dark version of Peter Davison's (Fifth) and is probably celery or a similar vegetable underneath.
The walking stick is somewhat like William Hartnell's (First).
The Fedora/Scarf are Tom Baker's (Fourth).
The trainers are definitely David Tennant's (Ten).
The bow-tie is Matt Smith's (Eleven).
The green shirt reminds me of Paul McGann's (Eighth).
The pants are either Colin Baker's (Sixth) or Patrick Troughton's (Second).

The first quest (Professor Who?) has you retrieving a cosmic caliper, definitely a knockoff of sonic screwdriver. The Professor does offer you a jelly baby during the following quest (Relative Dimensions). Be warned, he does disappear after you talk to him. The last line of the second quest is a direct quote from Tom Baker's Doctor: "Intellect and joy will always triumph over brute force and anger!"

    The Telegraph Box says:

    See you round the spiral!
    Jennifer SilverBlood (Transcended Thamaturge)
    Jennifer FireBringer (Transcended Pyromancer)
    Jennifer RainTamer (Transcended Diviner)
    Jennifer DarkGem (Legendary Necromancer)
(Also have a small Ice leveling rapidly: Jennifer Song)

    1. Jennifer,

First off, you should credit that central discussion where they talked about all these things. I found it for you this time:
Because, as I can see there many people contributed to the information you have reposted, they should get credit.

Second, your comment is rather redundant because I already said most of those things. But for argument's sake I shall discuss it further with you.
The trainers are not 'definitely' Tennant's because they BOTH wore red trainers on the show. And in the special "Time Crash" Doctor 10 credits Doctor 5 as being the reason why he wears trainers. While Smith has made the bow-tie famous, Pertwee (the 3rd Doctor) has also worn one. It is a green waistcoat. Waistcoats have been worn by most Doctors, including Baker and McCoy. No Doctor has worn a green plaid one like the Professor wears. As I have already explained above, he wears celery.

Hi there! Thanks for leaving a comment.
