Yesterday evening, I went through Katzenstien's lab.

Ugh, I hate that instance.

I get caught every five steps!

But Friendly is right, it does make a sweet dance floor!

The Legend of the Death Shark

Legend has it, that when young wizards use their magic recklessly the death shark approaches and eats the young wizards in one colossal bite. Here is my version of this legend.


Young wizards wishing to test their powers often bend the laws of magic, and propel themselves off the edge of the world with the help of magic rugs. These foolhardy wizards travel farther and farther away from the safety of land and into the unknown. As the land vanishes into darkness behind them, they heard a creaking of bones and a draft of ice cold air rushes by them. Somewhere in the distance there is movement, a glimpse here, a flutter there, and then all of a sudden a skeleton appears in front of the young wizards. It is the skeleton of a gigantic shark! The young wizards, frightened by the appearance of this supernatural horror, try to out run the shark, they enchant the rugs to move faster, but the shark is still following them. The wizards make the rugs go even faster, but the shark still pursues them. The young wizards make the rugs fly so fast through the air they have a hard time keeping up with them. Then all of a sudden a wizard falls off one of the rugs. The other wizards stop and try to help the stranded one, but the death shark is much closer than they are. The wizard sees the shark getting closer and tries to move away but he is completely stuck, he cannot move, he cannot cast a spell to fight the shark, all he can do is await his impending doom. The shark swims through the air and with a leap the young wizard has been engulfed by his jaws. The wizards stare in silence as the shark swims off through the unknown. Then one of them speaks, “If ever I make it out of here alive, I will never toy with the laws of magic again.” All of the wizards vowed as well to not break the laws of magic ever again.

And so every time a wizard bends the laws of magic by flying away from the worlds of the spiral, they invite a visit from the death shark.

Sorry, I've been a bit busy and haven't been giving the blog or wizards, much attention.

I finished up the Ironworks the other day and moved on through Newgate, and am now settled in Knight's Court.

Test Realm = Crafting

I must say the test realm is an awfully good place for crafting.

You can just buy hunderds of "Remarkable Reagents" card packs.

Inspired by The Goofy Wizard's post, I made a couple of mannequins!

I call them Woody and Wanda.

They are make great party guests.

They laugh at all of your jokes.

Woody and I even went dancing.

Now I need to go get some reagents on the live realm!

Sherlock

You may not know this about me but I am a big Sherlock Holmes fan.

I think that is one of the reasons I like Marelybone so much.

I love his logical reasoning (much like another one of my favorites, Spock!) and his cleverness.

Also his sense of drama and his dapper victorian-ness!

He is the ultimate private consulting dective.

We should totally hang out at 221b Barker St.!

I really like Ice school clothes.

I think the little swirly things and snowy dots are just lovely!

Ice clothes also look good in black, they look like they are dotted with stars.

These are Youkai's Slippers.

And this is some one's cloak that I saw in the Basillica.

I think it's the "Death Oni's Tunic".

Bestest house EVER!

Today while I was killing undead to get my "Undead Slayer" badge, my friend Jessica DasiyFountain, says I should port to her.

So I do, and lo and behold!

I found myself on a rug bridge leading farther and farther away from the death house.

Tatiana DuskSong made this awesome ride.

That's really the name for it, a ride, because you couldn't just walk back.

No, you were on this little moving platform that went farther and farther away from the house, and if you stopped for to long...

you get stuck!

It was AMAZING!

We all got stuck.

Then we started telling ghost stories about the legendary

"death shark".

Man, I wish I knew how to do something like that.

Edited to add: I learned that this is actually a game called airplane. Oh. I've tried to do it all by myself, and according to my friend who ported to me, I'm doing it wrong. Ah well. I still think it's awesome.

Pathfinders in the Sky

So as Kestrel I had to go defeat fire elves and collect a library book.

And I got into a battle with a Fire Elf Pathfinder, whom I had not seen since the update. (Still not sure if I like the new styling or not.)

Then there was this glitch...

"Holy Floating Fire Elves Batman!"

Hmmm, I think they might want to fix that.

Meet Kestrel

No not Kestrel ShadowThistle,

my storm wizard Kestrel AshBlade.

I made Kestrel way before I knew about Wizard101 blogging.

I just liked that name.

It makes it a whole lot awesomer that Kestrel shares her name with a super cool blogger buddy of mine!

Kestrel is level 29, and has started Marelybone!

Anyway, so now that I'm all but finished with Victoria I'm going to be working on and blogging about Kestrel.

I didn't even have to dye the colors to match.

I was messing around last night when I figured out I could make slideshows with Windows Movie Maker. So I decided to try it out. (There isn't any sound. I don't know why, but I didn't feel like adding any in.)

"Secret Shopper" changes

I noticed when I was going to get the "Secret Shopper" badge for one of my other wizards I noticed that it's a little different.

You now have to make multiple visits to the shop to get it.

But if you don't want to wait, you can run in and out five times.

I stayed up on new year's eve and worked my way through the Labryinth.

Then something magical happened.

Victoria became level 48.

The next morning I started to work on the quest to get my new spell.

I zipped right along.

Then I summoned a... um, Judgement lady, and she gave me

SUPER POWER NOVA!

And my awesome new pet,

We are unstoppable!
