Hey, Where's Heather?

I can imagine walking down the streets of the spiral and bumping into one of my old friends. They say to me "Heather! Where have you been all this time?" And would say "well..." and probably break into some Phineas and Ferb style musical backstory review.
Well I decided not to try my hand at writing, directing, and animating a clip for you so I'll just tell you. I've been right here. Under the surface. It's like I've been in the conductive zone of the sun, just wandering around bouncing from one thing to another while slowly building up enough energy to write.
And I have decided it's good to write. Not just in 140 characters on twitter, or in long private conversations with friends, but on ye olde blog.
So, back to the story. Well mostly I have been leveling, I mentioned Heather got to level 80 right? Well she did that. And then I got her through the rest of Avalon. Then my friends helped me get One-In-A-Million, which I missed because my internet went down the instant I cast the spell. Apparently I made it because I have the badge. Yup.

Then I took my storm wizard, Kestrel, all the way through Avalon. So she's level 80 and all powerful.

Then I kind of kicked around, without any particular motivation. All of my wizards were stuck in annoying areas (take my death, Lenora, for example. She gets to pick between Grizzlehiem and Celestia. Bleh!). So I turned to Star Trek Online (STO). I like STO but I kind of have no idea how anything works, so I push all of the buttons I can and hope I get shiny stuff. That's about it.

Hopefully I'm back into the swing of things. Hopefully my new strange beast will get spritely at epic and be Heather's first SPUD pet. Hopefully I won't blow up my starship. Again.

Not much has been going on in Wizard101 land for me recently. Mostly gardening. Gardening doesn't make good blogging. And also some pet hatching. But unsuccessful pet hatching doesn't make good blogging either.

Island Time

You might say that I'm really slow in just getting Kestrel to the Floating Land when it's been out for .... um.... a really long time! I'd rather say that Kestrel just likes to run on island time.

It's actually really nice to be working in this sunny part of Celestia while it is all dark and wet and wintry outside. Ahhhh I just need some surf tunes....



Um. Now all I need is a tropical drink with a little umbrella!

Children of the Resolutions

New Years resolutions. Can't live with 'em. Can't live... Well I could live without 'em, but anyway. My resolutions! Here they are (the in-game ones, you probably don't want to hear all my boring real-life goals) in no particular order:

1. Spend a week without using text-chat. <- Why? Because I can. It's good to step into other people's shoes. I think might blog these adventures too.

2. Finish decorating my MFP. <- This will take forever. Can I complete my house in only one year?!

3. Hold a huge party in my completed MFP. <- Sounds easy, but is much harder than you think. I've had little success hosting events in the past. Maybe I'll be able to actually hold a real party this time.

4. Get another one of my wizards to legendary. <- This will probably be Victoria. Or maybe Kestrel. I dunno I really love Ra so I'll most likely be working on Vicky. Yes I call her "Vicky" in my head. I'm just typing it this time.

5. Get another of my wizards to Grandmaster. <- 99% sure this will be Lenora. She's already 44. I just have to get over my Dragonspyre block.

6. At least start crafting a Watch Tower Hall. <- I love this house. I really do! I am just really intimidated by all the work it will be. Crafting one stepping stone does count as starting. I am banking on that.

7. Continue to work on always being as polite as I can to the other people in the game. <- Yeah... do unto others... and all that jazz...

8. Work on keeping my mouth shut when people are out to bug other players. <- Yeah. Ahem. I need to work on not getting involved in unnecessary drama. It is... well, unnecessary!

9. I want to work on being a support player. And helping others and being generous. <- I'm hoping this will come back to me tenfold. Nah I'm kidding.

10. Remembering that this is a game and I do this for fun! <- This one's a toughie!

Well I'd say that this a been a pretty good year! Let's review my resolutions for 2010, shall we?

To get Victoria to be a grandmaster

Mission accomplished: January 4th, 2010

To have one of my other wizards be a grandmaster

Mission accomplished: May 12th, 2010

To finish all of my crafting tasks as Heather AND Victoria

Mission more than half way done.

Heather completed Master Artisan on February 16th, 2010 and Grandmaster Artisan on December 12th, 2010. As for Victoria.... weeeeell she's one quest away from becoming a Master. But I decided that all those Black Pearls would be better spent on crafting things for my new house. (More on that later.) So she's on hold for a while.

Legend of the Death Shark plus I started another longer fan fic: The Wandering Conjurer. Err... that one is yet to be completed.

And that's just the tip of the iceburg! Good heavens. I did a lot this year. I got to work on the petnome team. I got to legendary and got Medusa. I hit the one year mark for both playing Wizard101 and blogging. I met a whole herd of great people, and I had a whole bunch of fun. Thanks everyone to contributed to a wonderful year. Here's to another fantastic one!

Halloween!

WOOHOO! Halloween has come to the Spiral at LAST! :D

Well I have a huge shopping list! I did get the Witch outfit though.

I adore it!

I also made a little video of my alt Kestrel doing some of the Jack Hallow Quests.

It's not really informative, it's more of a "Just because". :)

Eventful Weekend

Wow! This has been one busy weekend!

First off, I got the Spectre to Epic.

Then I gave him to Lenora. It's very useful!

Then on a whim I did a couple Briskbreeze Tower runs with Kevin Battleblood and Co, and I got my Myth ring! I think that it's going to help a ton.

Also I swear I saw this glitch at least three times.

Hehe!

Then I powered my way through Marleybone, with Miss Lenora and in Counterweight West got me a Clockwork Golem.

Off to Mooshu with her! She's level 34 now, only about half a level away from wearing a pretty new robe.

We also had the very first meeting of the Petnome Project.

This 'short' meeting only lasted about four hours. Boy, when we get talking... better pack a lunch!

Then just a few moments ago I was farming Ye Old Crazed Forest Spirit and I got my crab!

WOW! I am still in shock! I mean, I've been farming for him since it was discovered!

I named him Sebastian, which is the name of Kestrel's crab too. Ugh, I tried to name it something special...

But I'm going to keep it like that for a while because I like it.

We'll just have to have matching pets. :P

As you can see it's been a very eventful weekend!

And we've got a whole half a day left!

I wonder what's in store?

A Very Spectre Day

Yesterday was a big day.

My real life friend finally got his Ianthine Spectre after months of farming.

He has farming for them ever since they came out.

Now me and my two real life friends all have Spectres! Hehe, the 'tres amigos'!

Next my Spectre, King Cosmo, maxed out his stats!

He also passed the half-way point!

See that. He has Death-giver (+ death strength) and Death-proof (+ death resistance) unlocked!

With his stats maxed out he is giving me 6% and 8%. Sweet!

After I get him to epic, I am going to give him to Lenora. Having that will help so much more than my lighting bat that I am currently using.

I can't wait!

Kestrel's new look

A couple days ago I took a stab at the Plague Oni and Kestrel's lovely storm robe dropped!

I quickly hurried to the Seamstress and now this is Kestrel's new look.

I want to dye it Light purple and green, but I don't have enough gold right now.

I love that Victoria, Kestrel and Heather are matching now. :) I even have the death robe for Lenora when she hits level 40.

Speaking of Lenora, I gotta keep working on her! She is dying to get out of her mis-matched Krok outfit into her sleek new Marleybone uniform.

Well because Sierra got it right off the bat and I am to excited too wait, I'll share with you now!

IT'S A GRIMZILLA!

Yesterday morning my death friend and Kestrel got together and they both got hybrids! Woot woot! I am so happy! Now I have a hybrid! :D

Sierra, your prize has been sent to you. Use it well!

So which hybrid should I go for next? Maybe Grimtooth or Jade Hound.

Hey everyone! How do you like the new template? Sorry about not being able to read the title, I'm working on a header.

Anyway, today I had a day off! It was nice because I had to work this weekend. So I decided, today is farming day!

First order of bussiness, get me a crab pet! So I take the alts of doom (Kestrel and my real-life friend's ice wizard,) and head on over to the Crazed Forest Spirit. It takes us a long time but my friend gets one! So we farm. And farm. And farm. And farm. And farm. And farm. Nada. He didn't even get another one. Grrrrrr!

Then we decide that all this farming would go a lot faster if he had some/all of his Grandmaster gear. So off to Snowcrusher, who was suprisingly lenent with us and gave up his boots after a few quick battles. So we head off to Yeva Spiderkeeper. We spend hours farming and get nothing! No nice new pet, no hat. Just a lot of Storm shoes, which I already have and things I can't use. GAH! SHE IS SO EVIL! So I take a break. I come back and in a few battle I have two Queen Spider pets and my friend has his hat. Woot! I will never farm Ms. Evil again! At least not for a while....

So now I'm back to farming the Crazed Forest Spirit. Nothing as yet. I will let you know when I get one! :)

So today I was working on Kestrel, in the Crystal Grove. Eww spiders!

Anyway, when suddenly... woot ding! Level 48 baby!

Woohoo!

My professor paged me, and I came running.

Teehee, he just said "Gadzooks"! I love this frog!

Then I went and summoned a storm lord.

I went and tried out my new spell, look!

News

Today I am not feeling well. Actually I am feeling pretty yucky. Anyway, I decided to take sometime and get back into the Wizard101 groove. So I took Kestrel, (who is now level 45 thanks to my friend who has been playing her along with his icy,) outfitted her in the DS crowns gear, dyed it to look nice, and went off to MB to finish some side quests. Let me just say that I love being a storm wiz. I have unlimited power! Muwahahahaha!

In other news:

• I am now judging my silly photo entries! Yay! I got more than one! :)
• I have been neglecting my Student Teacher campigan. I will be working on that! So right now my goal is for one person to vote for me. Yeah... I need to work on this.
• I have yet to make my new Life wiz, there's something fun to do on a rainy day soon!
• I haven't been reading any Wiz101 blogs or anything... so what's been happening?

Things to come

So a few days back Kestrel leveled up to 38!

Which sent her on a quest, where she had to defeat the plague oni.

Then she went down the street to summon a Storm lord to get her new spell, Triton.

Triton is awesome! And it was very cool to get my first look at things to come!
